Maud Lewis (1901-1970) is one of Canada's most beloved folk artists. Bornin Nova Scotia, she spent her entire life in Digby and Yarmouth Counties. Despite living with rheumatoid arthritis, her innate skills allowed her to paint vibrant scenes of rural maritime life.
