Derek Sullivan: Field Notes is a publication accompanying a solo exhibition highlighting a recent body of work by the leading Toronto-based conceptual artist Derek Sullivan. The works on display were inspired by Sullivan’s twelve-month site-study of Shift, a Land art work by the American sculptor Richard Serra long-hidden in a field in King, Ontario. The publication includes a Director's Foreword by Sarah Milroy, an interview with the artist on the creation of this body of work, along with an interview with Joan Jonas on her time spent with Serra during the conception of Shift.
